Credit card data from Singapore on Dark Web priced higher due to rarity: Cyber security firm

This is a kind of back-handed compliment to the security measures that most countries outside of the US take with credit cards…:

SINGAPORE – Stolen credit card data from Singapore banks is valued higher on the Dark Web than that from other countries because of the robust cyber-security measures protecting them and the difficulty in obtaining them, according to new research from cyber-security firm Group-IB.

The Singapore-based firm said on Friday (Nov 29) that for cards from the United States, the average price for raw payment card data, which includes credit card number, expiration date, cardholder name and CVV, is between US$8 (S$11) and US$10 per card on Dark Web shops.
